Interesting stats! Even today, I bet most Americans have no idea how strong France remains. For example, Britain had some of the best aircraft technology going coming out of WWII, but the US bullied them into giving it up. Yeah, war-debt sucks. France still has home-built fighters. If it wasn’t for pressure from the U.S. on France its Exocet missile would have given Argentina the victory. And France remains a colonialist in Africa. At least the British can say they’re missed when they leave ;)
