Is Syria Where the C.I.A. and Israel Drag Us Into War?
There’s nothing more American than fixing a problem by creating another. It’s like, our thing.
Whenever I’ve asked (rather, been told), during my 63 years, why we have a $1 trillion “defense” industry, it’s on account of them Russians.
Why is Russia in Syria? For the warm-water port in Tartus to do dastardly things in their submarines and warships.
You have to hand it to Assad. He took money from Russia, Iran and (indirectly from) his arch enemy Israel. In return they could proxy play outside Damascus. Iran moves weapons in. Israel bombs random warehouses. Assad goes shopping with his wife in Europe.
Syrians that speak up languish in jail, or worse.
Back here, in the U.S., a trillion dollars is a LOT of money. Naturally, the CIA has to prove they’re worth keeping around. So they harass Russia and the Assad regime by supporting various “rebel” groups, which are — scarry as shit!
In 2013, It was reported Assad gassed civilians. Obama said, “you step over that red line and we’re coming in.”
(I’ve never been able to figure out who did what with the gas attack.)
