Isn't there a difference between learning about 10/7 through the media and personally witnessing the horrors of war? Prior to 10/7 most young Israelis have no idea what really goes on in Gaza, what real war is about. Do you believe some young Israeli who witnessed a boy getting shot in Gaza, or an Israeli soldier wounded or killed, is going to EVER forget that?

Netanyahu is an old man throwing Israeli children into a generational PTSD crisis. He believes whatever needs to be done to protect Israel. His brother died. Others might have to, also.

As I've asked in many of my pieces, why the rush to send your children into battle? Hamas isn't going anywhere. Let the professionals deal with it slowly and methodically. Times are different. Israel is not threatened existentially from outside. We shall see. I hope you're right, but I believe worse is to come as in most wars the young die because old men say all must honor their motherland.
