Israel has no good choices. I've written in other pieces that the right choice (to me) is to

1.) Recognize the walling off Gaza plan did NOT work

2.) Recognize that Hamas didn't not overwhelm Israel, Israel had left Hamas for dead so to speak so didn't effectively guard the wall.

3.) Make the hard choice between A) allowing Gaza airport and port or B) find a way to integrate them into the larger Israeli society by working towards taking down the wall.

4.) Don't make matters worse by sending the IDF into Gaza.

Politicians only care about staying in power. This is true everywhere. The same way Netanyahu is screwing up Israel Biden is screwing up the U.S. I don't blame Israel. Please keep that in mind.

The current Israeli and U.S. government have no plan for post-Gaza. The U.S. is large and self-sufficient to survive. Israel is not. I see a very bleak future for Israel.
