Israel wants a lot of things that are fantastical.

I don't believe the pager attack was some stroke of genius. Special military and intelligence units are planning, trying to execute, things like that all the time. The difference is Israel is doing things most countries would not do, on the scale, because it would upset their current relationships with frenemies.

The U.S. will continue to say it will support Israel but behind closed doors, in the next few years, it will reduce its risk. It won't put itself in a position when Israel can upset so many relationships just to get at people that only threaten it.

Every country would love to drop bombs on those it hates, no matter how many people live at the target. Many would love to drop a bomb on Putin while he's at the yearly military show. But they don't. Not because they're moral, because it cost too much politically with their other relationships.

Yes, the Christians and Sunni have not disappeared in Lebanon. But they have had a peace there for some time. I believe most want nothing to do with Hezbollah OR Israel.

If we follow your logic and Lebanon goes back to a civil war how does that benefit Israel? Does Israel believe they'll get so busy killing each other that they'll stop attacking northern Israel? I doubt it.

There is only one play. For Israel to retreat from Gaza and the North. Israel current government won't do that on its own. It will only happen when Israelis get stick of waking up to seven 21-year-old Israeli kids dead frighting an unwinnable war. When they realize pacifying Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon is...

A fantasy.

And always has been.

Hope you're doing well!
