It didn't stop WWII last time and I see no reason how it will stop WWIII this time. And, BTW, Germany did copy the U.S. back then. The only difference is once everyone was working for quasi-nationalized industries they decided to address old grievances. "Let's make some bombers at this aircraft factory. Let's make some tanks at this car factory..."

One only has to read the news to see that ramping up today. Anyway, point is, the New Deal only "worked" because we "won" WWII.
