It's a very, very, sad situation. However, the U.S. installs puppet regimes in South America and the Middle East. I believe this could have been avoided through more diplomacy. Instead, Putin has decided to prove Russia is a super power on par with the U.S. China has agreed because it makes the U.S. weaker. So now we have 3 super powers which will create an arms race which will make everyone poorer and angrier. The globe is sick. Putin would probably say, "I didn't start the fire". NATO became an aggressor military. It should have been disbanded.
