It's not often I side with Netanyahu but Gallant is the bigger problem here. The mindset of someone who wants all Palestinians "removed" is above. The simple fact is Gallant can't get the job done so he is blaming Netanyahu. Just like the U.S. military didn't blame itself in Vietnam, it blamed the politicians for not letting them go in strong enough. Gallant probably wants to continue leveling Gaza and blowing up tents.

In my battles with Israelis with IDF experience here on Medium is they too believed sending the IDF into Gaza was a mistake. But they wouldn't say so for loyalty sake. I get it. That's the problem in Israel. Those voices can't even begin to speak up (though of course some did).
