I've been arguing for years that the IDF (like all Western militaries) cannot successfully fight a ground war anywhere except maybe a flat desert against a foe with no air power.

They'd learn in time. It would not be a pleasant experience. Somehow the press doesn't write about that aspect of Ukraine and Gaza.

Which is why I wish there was more diplomacy.
