I've been hearing that for decades now. Not living in Israel I gave Israel the benefit of the doubt. However, as a general rule, I don't believe walls are good for anyone, in a neighborhood or between nations. Perhaps they're necessary, but should never be desirable.
So, okay for the walls to slow down the knife attacks and suicide bombing. But not okay to build-and-forget. It's so easy for the people building the wall to stop making an effort to integrate or make peace with the other people. So it didn't, and the decades went by.
A problem that lead to it, Jews getting so much money/support from the West and Arabs nothing (unless they sat on top of oil wells). And Israel saying we send you charity through the wall stop complaining.
And here we are.
