Just how democratic was Germany back then? How democratic are we today?
Society is as sick up here in New England as it is in Florida, it just presents well. There is no real discussion of anyone's problems. As much as I love John Stewart, when he was on the Daily Show he made at least one joke at Florida or the South's expense every single night.
There is NO respect for Florida from the bubble cities. The irony is there's nothing more TOXIC than someone dissing on Floridians (and I hate Florida by the way).
The big problem is the whole gender-change stuff is out of control, especially for young people. It scares ME. I think it's a social sickness. Many young people are entitled and incapable of listening to any criticism, whatsoever. DeSantis is addressing it in a COMPLETELY wrong way, but I understand where people who vote for him are coming from.
Then there's Disney. It's a simply horrible company, both in how it treats its workers and its customers. Sure, many people go there, but how much money really ends up in Florida and not the bank accounts of their stock holders elsewhere?
Don't confuse peoples love of Mickey Mouse with their feelings towards the Disney Corporation.
I would like you to make more of an effort to discuss both "sides" of the problem here. DeSantis is the canary, he isn't the poisonous gas in the coalmine.
A lot of that poison comes from the Northeast and California, but we've gotten used to the smell.
