Keep in mind, I've done a bit of construction, car mechanics, robotics, etc. You can buy almostly completely factory pre-fab houses these days. You can even get close to that on Amazon! This stuff wasn't remotely available in the 1970s or even early 1980s. People place too much ephasis on money and financials. In the end, money won't keep you warm in the winter. Money is a reflection of productivity. It's value increases and decreases over history based on climate change, technology, demographics, etc. I'm pointing out the technology and demographic issues. Tatcher bet correctly. Productivity paid the bet off. I don't believe it will do so again. But we shall see.
