Larry Wilkerson had a great insight in a recent interview (link below). The Chinese don't like smarmy (well who does) and Blinken is Central Casting for smarmy. So Wilkerson believes Xi would not be amused. Also, Lei pointed out they put Blinken in a hotel room where he overlooked a Chinese missile ship.
