Logistics is the least of the problem. The U.S. could crush Russia. That's been true for 70 years But no one playing the game says it out loud. It's so obvious not even Trump thought it worth saying ;) I'm not saying this as a proud American or warmonger. All one has to do is watch some YouTube videos of the U.S. military doing stuff and compare that to Russians and it's as plain as day. Everything is computerized in U.S. equipment. Russian equipment has electronics, which aren't the same thing, but easily confuse the casual onlooker. Further, this is a function of economic might too. America is Smart Immigrants + Reserve Currency = Most Powerful Military.
Russia never became a true super power. Now with China in the mix, Putin and his regime believe they can muscle their way back to something that never really was. That the ones who will die for the prize will win it. Your opponent has grown soft. Women and gays in the military. How hard can it be?
