My 2-cents is that if Iran wanted to sink a ship it would use their state-of-the-art missiles or drones that could do it. For now, it's using the Houthis to both pressure the West and to probe the ships (not using Iran's best stuff), trying to figure out what works and doesn't. We've watched Ukraine do this well for the past two years, to the point, that it figured out how to hit Russia's Navy Crimea headquarters.

Israel is burning a lot of bridges with Western countries. I don't have to tell you how fascinating this is!
