My friend's son did the high school tennis thing in Florida. He attended college in Georgia, now lives in CA, and to the best of my knowledge neither he nor his mother have mentioned Florida since. The discipline of tennis training was good for him and now he has many friends at the local CA tennis club (though he had stopped playing in college). In short, I doubt you'll be writing about Florida for too much longer. That should be some relief ;)
