Nice piece but feels some paragraphs are duplicated. Also, I believe the main problem is money/labor. Tax receipts post Covid won't pay for tank maintenance. The West is battling inflation. Printing money to fix tanks would be inflationary, so they're not committing.

Same as in WWII I suspect. France invaded? Britain be like, "We can't afford to send our army over there. It'll be over soon anyway." Months later it's too late. Same is happening here.
