No Russian is going out on patrol near Kherson. They aren't paid enough--no one would be ;) All those signs are proof that no one is patrolling the streets. So I wouldn't be surprised if a Ukrainian fighter could potentially walk into the center of Kherson and piss on a Russian tank.

If the above is true, it makes no sense for Ukraine to mount a significant attack UNLESS they'll have the forces to patrol the streets.

Ukraine made some mistakes early in the war by rushing things. I believe they've learned from that and will now do things patiently and properly so they don't need to do the work again. Foreign fighters are buying them that time.
