Of course Ukrainians are doing bad stuff. It's a war. And Ukraine has a history of the same corruption and repression as Russia. Then there's the U.S. No saint there. No one is "nice".

All that said, can you make the leap from that to "Some in Ukraine see the current regime for what it is?" It isn't a regime. It is a democratically elected government. Zelensky hasn't been running the country for 20 years. Again, not saying Ukraine is all good.

I don't hear any political voices in Ukraine arguing to give Russia the Donbas. Certainly, there must be people who believe that's the best course of action. If Ukraine such a democracy where are the opposite voices? I hear none. A year later, I still have no clue what's really going on in the Ukrainian military. You can make many valid arguments that Ukraine's democracy is suspect.

But you can't argue away one nation trying to topple another nation's government. If you're going to blame the victim you must make a good and clear case. Arguing they're not perfect isn't enough for me.
