Oh brother. You really know how to depress a guy on a Saturday morning ;) I agree with you (don't want to, but life ain't fair) that the U.S. would sell Ukraine down the river in a second (and is probably doing more of that now, than helping Ukraine win the war). It also frustrates me that I can't get good info from my own government, with all the AWACS I pay for, about what is going on. Almost NO USEABLE info from our government in my opinion. I have to extrapolate from what they say politically. Like Austin's call, as you point out, etc.
All that said, war takes time. In 3 months things are usually the way they will be. So I don't see Russa getting more than Donbas. I don't see Ukraine being able to push them back far. But also believe Russia won't get to Odessa.
I believe Putin is truly sick and there are many reasons he won't last long.
I believe in time Russia will break apart once again. But I can't be smug about it. Andrew Tanner writes all this crazy shit about the U.S. breaking apart. If I'm objective, it isn't science fiction. It's a global phenomenon.
I'd like there to be one good source of information. But there isn't. So thanks for reminding me ;)
