Okay, I guess I have to take this seriously. The point of my story is propaganda. It was propaganda that "Shock and Awe" was going to eliminate Saddam Hussein's evil government but most of the people it killed were just regular people. The government knew what was coming. His even more evil sons, Qusay and Uday were not killed in that Shock and Awe but in a gun fight--that-s right--boots on the ground.

WMD were also propaganda. Whatever reason the U.S. had for bombing the shit out of Iraq it wasn't WMDs. Not for one second, even at the time, when I had much less knowledge of geopolitics, did I take them seriously.

I am not making the argument that it's okay for Putin to lie because Bush lied. That's not my point at all.
