One of my earliest musical memories is listening to "Rockin Robin" and watching the Jackson Five on TV. I was probably around 11, give or take. My next indelible memory was in college, walking down a quiet dark road in Denver, CO, on the way to my girlfriends. "Billy Jean" came on my portable radio. I still listen to that song and shake my head in amazement. It really doesn't fit into any category, at least for me. If someone asked me what "groove" is and I could only play one song that would be it. It's like he took every groove record before him and distilled it to its very essence, like 99.9% pure.

He never experienced a single normal day, for a child, in his life. My guess is he slept in the same bed with some children, but that he would hurt one is beyond belief, at least for me. I was, very, very sad when he died. If there is such thing as a "gentle soul" it seemed to be him.

Anyway, agree with you and LOT MORE!
