One of my friends ending up having to go back to Israel (a rabid Trump supporter by the way). And another to Britain because Trump's gutting of the government, and contradictory policies, prevented new visas from being processed.

I sympathize with your feelings. I just want to point out that from Brexit to the U.S. it has been very difficult for anyone to be sure they can travel, or stay, anywhere. Except for the rich ;)

The superpowers are re-aligning and you got caught in the middle. I am as shocked as you. The two people I know who had to leave, they're the kind of people the U.S. should PAY to come live here.
