Palestinians, for the most part, are poor. Do they have access to Western bank accounts? Dollars? Medium is a Western luxury. What I don't understand is why people don't put themselves in the shoes of a Palestinian. From their perspective (assuming Arafat and Abbas were/are corrupt and not interested in their welfare) why would they talk peace with the Israelis? I see no reason they should. I hate it when a cop pulls me over. I can't imagine what it would be like to be roughed up like they are at the borders.

How am I indirectly supporting the anhelation of Israel? An Israeli friend accuses me of the same. Let me be blunt, Israelis do NOT speak for Jews. As much as I want Israel to succeed, why should I condone the breaking of the 10 commandments to achieve it? Do not kill. What the Germans did. What Hamas did. Neither are any excuse.

Of course, you can read the Torah and say that has been justified in the past. The Torah says many things.

I feel bad for Palestinians. But I feel worse for Israelis. Because they are truly lost. They had so much! Israel has prospered beyond imagining! Yet they have let the sleaziness of the few ruin it for everyone. A problem we face in the U.S. too. Time to make amends. Time to stop calling Jews antisemites because they don't like what they see.
