Corruption and War-Profiteering Settle In For A Profitable 2024
When Putin invaded Ukraine and Russian convoys didn’t have enough diesel to reach Kyiv, corruption within Russia was blamed.
As 2023 comes to a close, the EU won’t deliver the 1 million artillery shells it promised to Ukraine. Why? Supply chain hiccups?
Or just another form of corruption?
Western corruption is only different from Russia’s in that both the government and supplier pretend the failure couldn’t be avoided — while everyone gets paid just the same.
It’s a great racket, Western corruption. I’m not arguing it’s evil or wrong. I’m just saying, you know, we CHEATED Ukraine.
The biggest cheat? Dear Ukraine, we’ll give you everything you need to win the war, except that one thing all our military strategies depend on — air power. Any day now…
Nonetheless, Western corruption will ultimately overwhelm Russia’s corruption. Nothing motivates people to do business when there’s no accountability and no worries about standing near open windows.
