Powerful analysis and, on the whole, I agree. But I disagree that Hamas believes it can drive the Israelis into the sea (they're not even close to that capability). The reason Hamas attacked wasn't to prevent peace from the KSA, etc., it's to prevent the KSA on basically signing off on a "peace" that was a permanent prison situation (which is what the KSA was doing for a pipeline/transport deal, IMO). If Turkey really cared about Gaza they would have cut off oil. Same for Middle East nations. Hamas understand that they'll NEVER get a seaport. Never get an airport. They'll be prisoners forever (yes, some will live in wealth--but those aren't Hamas).
Removing Hamas won't change anything about Gaza. It will still be a prison. The only way to change that is for Israel to built a port, airport, and take down the wall. For it to invest huge sums of money to MAKE it work. But the Zionists won't allow it. Have never allowed it. Same in every country. Money can't go to others (unless some geopolitical benefit).
Can Israel turn the clock back 18 years and start over again?
