Putting my delusions aside about keeping his IQ in check ;) Here is the video: https://youtu.be/-1NFirxhXWE?si=igvP1KhiettXE2x9
The first young woman, a young Muslim apparently, opens with a strong argument but then gives Shapiro many chances to reframe her question.
In an argument, it isn't about who has the higher IQ, understanding of the issues, but how each argument is made against each other, like chess moves (or legal arguments). The woman makes some strong moves but she woefully underestimates how Shapiro will counter. She ends with "if we're to buy into anything you're saying which I'm honestly questioning."
Good lawyers only ask question with yes or no answers they already know the answers to. She doesn't understand any of that.
One of the guys does a much better job at preventing Shapiro to use his IQ in making a strong, but tangential argument to issues being raised.
But, his politeness, and genuine compassion for others, weakens him in the end. Shapiro never shows any real sympathy for Palestinians.
As you pointed out, Shapiro uses great energy combined with intellect to make people feel smart by solving what appears to them as complex problems. That works well if the audience is either low IQ or low energy as you point out.
I enjoy Shapiro's energy and intellect. But at the end of the day I don't see any real insight. He's just very clever. What do I know? Again, I'm delusional! HAHA
