Should Macs ever go above 15% of market share maybe Microsoft will take all-in-one ARMs seriously. I mean this matter-of-factly. Macs remain a luxury brand. Most all-in-one devices are neat at first. I don't see how the M1 is an exception. It's an appliance on a chip.

In time, you'll want that specific feature, maybe something new in GPUs (like NVIDIA ray tracing, etc), and you gift the once-cool device to your Dad or Mom.
