Sorry, I don't follow the latest media fad or the herd. I never said America is some earthly paradise. Please don't put words in my mouth. I went to public schools in NYC. Many of my black peers went on to have careers that were not open to minorities in the 1950s-60s, or the days of their parents.
I follow many YouTubers who happen to be black. I don't follow them because they are black. They have their own businesses. On TV and the movies they are no longer stereotyped into a few roles. As much as I admire Malcolm X, he's not right about everything. The knife was pulled out all the way for many blacks and their success is the proof.
Do they still suffer from racism? Sure, but discrimination is broad. So do women, Latinos, people who didn't go to Ivy schools, etc., etc., etc... We all need to be respectful of each other's hardships.
COVID-19 is harming ALL the poor. ALL minorities, the world over, are suffering more. African Americans don't corner the globe in racial suffering.
I can't stop anyone from calling me a racist. I can't stop someone from taking my helpful comments (my intent) and making them gist for their bitterness.
If I've learned anything from my black schoolmates, so to speak, it's to do my thing and not worry about what other people think.
