Well, case in point, who IS the most loved Democrat?
The Constitution of the United States wasn’t written as a declaration of individual right (as today’s Republicans purport) or a testament to shared values (the Democrats blather).
It documents a divorce of the English colonists from The Kingdom of Great Britain in 1776.
One could argue that the United States became sovereign because Great Britain was overextended — not because the colonists were stronger. The colonists were simply too much for the King of England to manage.
And it wasn’t a bad move. Great Britain went from controlling two percent of the World in 1776 to 25% in the 1920s! How’s that for a happy English ending?
Losing the colonies did not slow Great Britain down.
No one saw, at the time, that the real prize would be North America 150 years later!!!
