Thanks for the comment! Yes, everything you say is an important factor! What I set out to do with this story is give a very simple argument against the “we have a housing shortage” argument that’s relentlessly parroted in the news. Like you say, it all depend on how you define a housing shortage, which is dependent on family structures, etc.

And it seems we both agree that how many people live in a house is probably the biggest factor in assessing housing availability. But again, I just wanted to do something simple, food for thought!
