Thanks! I haven't had much time for writing. I had this idea of boiling down the Taiwan situation to its bare elements (as best I can make out). Curious your wife's thoughts.

Of course, I wanted to write how Britain sailing its aircraft carrier bristling with American fighters up the Taiwan straight is nothing short of reckless and needlessly provocative. It I was Taiwanese I'd be very torn. Stay in pot? Jump in fire?

You'd think England would have learned from the HMS Amethyst, but seems they TOO have old grudges to revenge. If I'm Taiwanese I'd hope the British get schooled in the Black Sea instead of South China Seas. You got me going ;)
