Thanks! I only try to distill what I learn from others. Every time I try to predict the future I get egg on my face. But one must be sporting. My prognosis is that Afghanistan will be forgotten. Whatever happens there won't make the Western news.

The big question, for me, is who is China more worried about, Taiwan and the West or India. Are they sabre rattling with India to hide an attack on Taiwan, or the other way around?

China has built a huge military. They're going to have to use it. Only then will we know if Afghanistan is important again.
