That quote is my opinon. I don't get the "stick to what you know" jibe. And NO, if Russia were a democracy and Ukraine a dictatorship we should NOT get behind Ukraine as the injured party.

A government has as reponsibility to keep its military in check (no looting, breaking into private property, shelling indiscriminatly, torture, rape etc). Russia is not doing that. It has nothing to do with whether or not Russia is a democracy.
