That was what the South wanted in the United States. It is not impossible for Israel to succeed with both Arabs and Jews part of one secular government. Not saying it should happen, or can, only that it did happen in the U.S. and should not be excluded from the possibilities for Israel. The idea that Jews would be voted out of Palestine is certainly scary, but again, might just be fear itself.
