That's my experience. Visual Basic is 32 years old and you can still use it to program Windows applications. There's also a translator between VB and C##. Because the .NET libraries are available for almost all OS's now, you can still write software for all platforms in Basic.

Error codes are still difficult to understand and STILL difficult to copy and paste form Windows popups! Thanks for comment!
