The CCP is extraordinarily secretive about its inner workings. Those who follow it speculate that it has "factions" within it like anywhere else. That is, there is a group that wants to close Chinese borders and become isolationist (with a strong military) and those who want to foster global trade. You might be wrong about China, or right for today, but wrong tomorrow? I personally believe it is coming to a head and China cannot be predicted.
