On the other stated objectives, even if I'm generous and concede all of Russia's points, it won't achieve them with Putin in power. That doesn't mean I'm excusing the West. They're making WWIII a certainty in my book.

To be clear, I didn't write this piece to say the U.S. will "win". It will eventually crush Russia. That doesn't mean the world will be a better place. The world is getting more f'd up by the day. Many Americans will die in the future. My guess is we both see this.
