The only similarity I can see between Israel and Germany of the 1930s is both militarized. Jews were rounded up and killed all across the Europe. They would have LOVED to have been placed behind a wall and left alone (which in a sense they already had been). I get where you're trying to go but it requires a mind-blowing re-writing of history to get there.

But if we allow your whole argument, then shouldn't we, in the West, take the Palestinian refugees (as Jews were not taken in back then, a mistake?). Why aren't we doing that? Why haven't Arab nations taken in more?
