The reasons we don't have self driving cars is that people would rather have the freedom to do what they want, say jaywalk, then get driven from point A to B safely. With current technology, I bet if we forced everyone to use self-driving we'd have almost no accidents. My point is that self-driving cars aren't a limitation of AI, they're a limitation of our ability to agree that the value of safety is more important than that of freedom drive any way you DANG WELL PLEASE ;)
