This is satire that might become true. Maybe not for the reasons you give--desire to get rid of autocracy. The world is running out of energy and resources. People will want those in power who will "claim" the most. That would be the military. Having a military run by civilians in this is inefficient. When it comes to greed, there is nothing more efficient than a human being. Therefore, that human will chose the military to run the government.

Military government it is then!
