Translation: Guy started with nothing and still managed to find a woman who wanted to be with him (this is easy to take for granted).

Translation: ? I'm impressed...but them?

I run and write every day.

Translation: No one makes him show up to work at 7, wear a stupid uniform, and get "corrected" throughout the day.

Why do Russian men NOT run away from going to Ukraine? They have a cell phone. They certainly must know what's going on, even if they try not to admit it to themselves? So why?

Why can't every man get a wife? Go to Harvard? Work out when he wants? Do his creative passion? I believe they can, but like you, I can't understand why they don't!

IS THAT TRUE? If not, then aren't we just dumping on the helpless?

What if they just join the Army because they feel so worthless that a uniform from a dead guy and a rusty gun, and others to drink with, makes them happier? Makes them feel like they're part of something bigger, more worthwhile, then themselves?

It's OUR helplessness to fix this that leads to our despising them? Yes? No?
