Let’s have some fun! I apologize for the lack of coherence. None of this is to be taken seriously! I love predictions, the nuttier the better!
We recognize Amazon has become the dollar store. I looked for Shure’s MVX2U audio interface, wasn’t there. I’ve noticed brand name electronics are no longer easy to find on Amazon. (I’ve paused my Prime membership).
Tech companies have given up on “retail” users. Every year Adobe raises their fee for their creative suite. I cancel and they offer me $30/month. This year they didn’t do that. Small users like me aren’t worth it to them. Better to raise prices for sticky corporate users and cut Adobe staff. Expect another round of tech layoffs.
Same for Flickr. I was happy to pay $30 a year for nostalgia sake. In their case, I don’t believe they can afford the staff to run a legacy user pricing arrangement. Expect bankruptcies.
Nothing has been discovered or invented that is a proven replacement for oil, gas or diesel — which the military, industry and shipping depends. Once the U.S. petroleum reserve falls to a certain point the U.S. will use its military to refill those reserves.
