What I'm trying to rationalize is why the West isn't at war with Russia. I don't believe there would be nuclear war if the EU and U.S. rolled into Ukraine. (If it happened it would happen eventually). Russia would have retreated. However, many EU and U.S. soldiers would have been killed.

There has been a critical breakdown of international diplomacy. Of again, Russias are just pyschopaths and you need to send in an armed response.

I hate Putin's regime. But at the end of the day, as an American, I have accepted that I'll let him burn himself out on the corpses of Ukrainians and Russian peasants.
