When my daughter graduated Barnard (Columbia), around 2015, a valedictorian gave a speech about "the open air prison that is Gaza." The audience was heavily Jewish. Although I completely disagreed with the graduate it literally sent chills down my spine she was able to speak such things to a large audience of people who did not want to hear that. Go Barnard!

I know you don't like to hear this, antisemitism is a problem very low down the list and a problem that is only a part of a larger problem, which you write about every day.

Don't let a few college numbskulls get you down too much! Don't let them distort your understanding of what's going on, of which, again, antisemitism is the least of our worries.

To be completely clear, I so appreciate your work and to me you're closer to that Barnard graduate than my generation.
