Who doesn't recognize Russia's security concerns? What you say about the media is correct, but there's much more a variety of opinions everywhere else but Russia.

I've been having this out with Apollo13. If Russia can secure its security through war, so be it. But it hasn't. It has only made matters worse for Russians (not to mention Ukrainians and everyone else).

It's simply not human nature to give the loser what he wants. If Russia wants a booby prize, like Crimea, than it needs to stop fighting and negotiate a withdrawal based on that. It isn't doing that because I believe Putin and the old men surrounding him are just too old, mental and divorced from reality.

When Russia gets clear-headed people running things it will be time to de-escalate.
