Who knows on that one! If that was their plan it certainly backfired because Europe is re-arming. My 2-cent is fossil fuels are getting more expensive to mine and the buyers (EU) don't want to pay what the seller (Russia) wants and now we have war. A war that will spread because Asia, historically, has always been fossil fuel dependent.
