Why I Don’t Need To Vote

“Democracy” Is For The Delusional

Many people vote. I rarely vote. I have nothing against voting. Vote away! There’s just no need for me to do it!

I don’t need to get “my candidate” to win, to represent what I’m against or in favor of.

On Medium I already express what I favor in policies, laws, etc. (And you can too, it’s free!)

I’m told that I’m just standing by while the wrong people get elected — and worse, lately — that such people will end democracy.

We won’t be able to vote anymore!

Yes, very selfish of me to allow that to happen when so many people enjoy voting! Can’t I just vote to make them happy?

Good question. So yes. I do. If I’m friendly with the candidate, or my friend is friendly with the candidate, I’ll go vote for them.

If the race was tight between Trump and Harris in Massachusetts, I’d go vote for Harris. For many reasons. But it isn’t tight. Harris polls at 60% here. Trump at 34%.

I’m told that if everyone didn’t vote, Trump would win. Would he? Seems to me if we took 10 random people the vote would be 6 to 4.

99.999% of Massachusetts doesn’t need to vote for Harris to win.
