Why would we? Human history is one of starvation, disease and war while the the lucky ones look on. If we can let a boat of migrant drown why not a billion people in India? It's just numbers.
Pretending that climate change is a special problem of humanity which can be solved with enough wind farms and solar panels is delusional.
It's been 17 years since "Inconvenient Truth", which I use as my starting point and I see no progress. Indeed, I see things going backwards. In the past 17 years nuclear energy has DECLINED! Tax credits have gone to the wealthy to buy Teslas, not towards mass renewals and infrastructure (solar panels on one's home actually drive up expenses for the poor). All stuff you know better than I!
I love what you're writing. But I feel its beating a dead horse--that the climate is changing. It's a fact. How can we mitigate it knowing what we know about human nature?
