Yes, but he was living in Lebanon, a sovereign nation. If Israel wants to get rid of him they need to go through channels, if not Lebanon, then France, or anyone with a connection. If you say Iran controls Lebanon than how exactly? Why do so many Lebanese have their assets in dollars and Euros?

Anyway, I don't think Hezbollah = Lebanon.

I thought the U.S. openly taking Suleimani out in Iraq (another supposedly independent nation) set a VERY bad precedence. Israel has blown past that.

Okay, so the U.S. and Israel have told the world, each nation can take out people it doesn't like with bombs. It's no longer state sponsored terrorism. It's justified "defense".

As we will see in the months ahead, Israel killing of political leaders in foreign countries will not change the situation militarily.

So I throw the question back to you. Why do you think it's a good idea to drop bombs on residential areas in other countries to kill your enemies?

The #1 characteristic of world war is when nations kill each other's civilians to "win".
